Billie G. Kobernus, 72, Minneapolis

Billie G. Kobernus, age 72, passed away November 12, 2022, at his home in Minneapolis.

He was born April 3, 1950, to Francis and Irene (Aird) Kobernus. He grew up in New Richland, Minnesota, but lived most of his life in Minneapolis. He proudly served in the Army. Billie is best known for his love of weaving rugs. He was an expert weaver of beautiful rugs, wall coverings and miscellaneous items. He also enjoyed pottery and sculpture work.

Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery, New Richland, on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 10:30 AM with military honors by the Steele County Funeral Unit.

He is survived by sister Nancy Bratton, Owatonna, and nephew David Bratton of Sacramento, California. He was preceded in death by parents, twin Bobbie Kobernus, sister Sharon Halverson, and niece Angela Halverson.
