BP shoots down Rockets again

For the second time this season, the Blossom football team used an usual fast start and defeated Randolph in a section playoff game Saturday Oct. 26 on the home field.
The Blossoms took a 40-6 lead at the half and then were content to run out the game 56-27. The win kept the locals undefeated and moved them into another game against arch-rival Goodhue.
Saturday’s playoff game turned into a full-fledged aerial contest, with quarterback Kaden Thomas leading the way. Thomas completed 21 of 25 pass attempts in piling up 354 yards and seven touchdowns, and Drew Kittelson went 7 of 12 attempts for another 87 yards. That made a whopping 431 yards through the air.
Alex Baldwin piled up 119 yards receiving with 9 catches, Gabe Hagen was on the receiving end for 87 yards, Mitch Fiebiger had 110 yards on 3 catches, and Zach Weber added 35 yards on two grabs.
The ground game almost got the night off, with Matthew Pryor counting 37 yards and Tyler Archer adding 33, with several other runners adding to the total.
The only difference in this game from the first meeting with the Rockets came with Randolph being more productive in moving the ball. The team took the ball for 541 total yards, 286 of them on the ground. Much of it, however, came against the Blossom reserves.
