Herbert Schlobohm, 93, Owatonna

Herbert E. Schlobohm, age 93, of Owatonna, passed away May 23, 2023.

Friends may greet the family at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Medford on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Meadow Ridge Cemetery, Faribault, with Military Honors provided by the Steele County Funeral Unit.

Herb was born to parents Edward and Ella (Abbe) Schlobohm in Medford Township.

He attended school in Medford and graduated from Medford High School. He was drafted for selective service in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1953.

Herbert then returned to run the family farm, after the passing of his father, Edward. Herb was a lifetime member of the Owatonna V.F.W.

Herbert is survived by brother, Willie (Sandy), and sister, Lucille Skalicky both of Owatonna; and special friend, Carole Darling.

He was preceded in death by parents, siblings and their spouses: Delbert – his twin brother (Dalene), LaVerne (Joan), Harold, and Dorothy Schlobohm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, Medford.
