Mary Jeanette Banker, age 59, of Owatonna, entered eternal life on Sunday, Nov; 6, 2022.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022 at 11 a.m., with a time of gathering one hour prior, both at Church of St. Edward, 9401 Nesbit Ave. South, Bloomington. Rev. Rick Banker will preside. A luncheon will follow at the church, with burial at St. Michael Cemetery in Prior Lake later that day. Mary was born on Sept. 18, 1963, in Elgin Ill., to Dick and Marilyn (Carroll) Banker. Mary grew up in Elgin and attended St. Laurence Grade School and St. Edward High School.

Growing up in a musical family, she had a beautiful singing voice and loved playing her guitar. Her favorite memories were of family gatherings and Sunday dinners. Later in life, Mary was fond of watching political shows, the daily news and she never missed Saturday Night Live.

Mary moved to Owatonna in 1998 to be closer to family. There she met her longtime companion Jeff Simons. She enjoyed spending time with the Simons family, and loved them dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and many family members and friends.

Mary will be missed by her siblings: Rev. Rick Banker of Bloomington; Patty (Brian) Chapman of Grand Marais; Christopher (Jennifer) Banker of Aurora, Mo.; and Amy (Tom) Parsons of Grand Marais; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
