Police: Burglars hit west side of Owatonna

Owatonna Police are warning residents about the dangers of leaving doors unlocked as a rash of burglaries have been reported on the west side of town.
According to a news release, the suspect or suspects are entering houses – some at night – while the homeowners are present.
Officers responded to four addresses in 10 hours on Thursday, ranging from 2:20 a.m. to about 1 p.m.
Police records indicate the homes hit were on Lynwood Street Southwest, Brady Boulevard Northwest and two on Allan Avenue Southwest.
To prevent being a victim, authorities remind people to make sure their doors are locked; outside lights are on, if not motion-activated; and alarm and camera systems are on as well.
Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity they see.
