Bernice Hrdlichka, 93, Owatonna

Bernice Hrdlichka died Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at Owatonna hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Owatonna. Friends greeted the family prior to the funeral Mass. Interment was at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Owatonna.

Bernice Catherine Hrdlichka was born in Owatonna on Oct. 14, 1931, to parents Joseph and Ann (Dusek) Hrdlichka. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1950.

After graduation, she worked at Federated Insurance. Then, she began a career in the banking industry at Wells Fargo Bank. She continued working in the banking industry until her retirement in 1995.

Her life interests included reading, walking, time with friends, family, and neighbors, and playing cards and dice games. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Bernice is survived by a sister, Eleanor Degen, nieces and nephews: Mike Degen, Rick Degen, Roxy Degen, Kitty Schimpach, and Terry Degen; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
