BREAKING NEWS: Two pedestrians injured in hit and run crash

Owatonna Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a vehicle involved in a hit and run crash that injured a woman holding a 2-year-old child Tuesday night.

The crash happened at North Oak Avenue and Rose Street around 9:07 p.m. Police said the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

The young child was airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with unknown injuries. The woman was also injured.

According to police, the pedestrians were walking across the intersection southbound when a dark-colored truck or SUV struck them in the roadway.

Anyone who was in the area of the Gateway Apartments and the Blast around 9 p.m. or has any information about the incident that may aid in identifying the hit and run vehicle is asked to contact police detective Derrik Quinlin at 507-774-7226.
