Blooming Prairie’s Bo Zwiener, Ella Smith and Madelyn Harvey were all recognized for winning the Triple “A” and ExCEL Awards ahead of the Awesome Blossoms’ boys basketball game last week.

Zwiener was given a loud ovation for not only winning the Triple “A” Award at the sub-district level, but for also being the Region One winner as well.

“It’s awesome. It’s all the hard work I’ve put in paying off,” said Zwiener on being chose as the Region One winner.

Outside of being a three-sport athlete for the Awesome Blossoms, Zwiener is also a stellar student and a member of honor choir and the school’s chamber choir.

Over the course of the next few weeks, Zwiener will hope to add state champion to his name as he competes in the Minnesota State High School League section individual tournament on his way to pursuing another podium finish at state.

Also being honored as a Triple “A” Award winner was Ella Smith.

The senior three-sport athlete recently committed to continue her volleyball career at Minot State University in North Dakota next season.

Blooming Prairie High School also recognized junior Madelyn Harvey for winning the ExCEL Award.

Harvey is another ambitious three-sport athlete who also figures to have a bright future.
