Diane Winifred (Kraus) Clauser, 84, of Owatonna, graduated to Glory on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born July 5, 1940, in Chicago, the daughter of Edward H. and Bernice (Blatter) Kraus. At the age of 18, Diane accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and desired to serve Him.

Diane was a 1963 graduate of Northern Illinois University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She served as a pre-K and kindergarten teacher in the Chicago area for 15 years.

Diane married George Clauser on Aug. 6, 1966, in Rolling Meadows, Ill. The couple made their home in Barrington, Ill, where they owned and operated Clauser Sheet Metal Works Inc. for 38 years.

After retiring from teaching, Diane enjoyed driving a school bus for children who were wheelchair-bound, which she did for 14 years. In 1998, the couple moved to Owatonna to be near grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Wade (and Melissa) Clauser; daughter, Wendy (and Paul) Larson; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Scott; sister, Marilyn (and Paul) Collins; and seven nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother-in-law, Glenn Scott.

Celebration of Life Service will be at Grace Baptist Church, 265 26th St. NE, Owatonna, on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, with Pastor Matt Tolosa officiating. Diane was interred next to her husband at Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024.
