Doris Brown, 87, Kasson

Doris Helen Brown, 87, of Kasson passed away peacefully Jan. 16, 2020 at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center.
She was born in Lanesboro, Minn. on Aug. 18, 1932 to George W. and Frances I. (Young) Buck.
She graduated and moved to Rochester where she met Roy A. Brown. They were married Aug. 19, 1950.
Together they raised eight children in Kasson: Tonja Brown Parker (Ken), David, Deb Kunz (Dale), Tanae McMurchie (Steve), Tam Houston (Bruce), Robert, Roy (Kim), Greg.
She loved flower gardening, fishing with her sons, reading, and Neil Diamond music and concerts.
She worked many years at the Hubbell House as a fry cook at lunch which enabled her to be at home every day when her children returned from school.
She is survived by her seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. All who knew her will carry her in their hearts and be happy that she was a major part of our lives.
Her ashes will be buried next to Roy's in the Mantorville Cemetery in the spring.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 10:30 at South Zumbro Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Dessert and beverages will be served.
