Genevieve Bice, 82, Owatonna

Genevieve Elaine Bice, age 82, passed away July 1, 2025, at Benedictine Living in Owatonna.

A memorial service with Pastor Ron Huber presiding was on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home in Owatonna. Friends greeted the family one hour prior to the service.

Gen was born to parents Raymond and Daisy (Parker) Schuler in Owatonna. She was raised on a farm in Ellendale. After her father passed away, the family sold the farm and moved to Owatonna.

Gen graduated from Owatonna High School in 1960. She worked at Costa’s Candies until she married Norbert Bice on Sept. 1, 1962, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Owatonna. She worked in childcare for 20-plus years, providing day care for countless families. Gen was an avid reader and gardener.

Gen is survived by her husband of 62 years, Norbert; children: Roland (Deb) Bice of Rochester, Kimberly (Gary) Wobschall of Owatonna, and Randall (Tabitha) Bice of Cleveland, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Kerry Bice of Owatonna; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Brian, five brothers, and four sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff at Benedictine Living for all the care they provided to Gen over the years.
