Bonnie Peterson, 68, Owatonna
Bonnie Elizabeth Peterson, 68, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully at Mankato Hospital with heart failure on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022.
Bonnie was born Jan. 26,1954 in Austin, to Raymond and Caroline (Graves) Wilkemeyer. She married Richard Peterson on June 7,1975. They adopted one daughter and then had three children together and later separated.
Bonnie worked at Venture Foods, Austin Hospital and Geneva Community Church during her life. Bonnie enjoyed going shopping, doing puzzles, coloring, playing bingo, sewing, watching TV and loved watching her Sunday football teams: Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs.
Bonnie's most favorite thing to do was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Bonnie will be remembered for making up jokes to get people to laugh. Bonnie was a caring and loving person that would help others when needed. Throughout Bonnie's life she had faith and love for God. Bonnie is survived by her three daughters: Melissa (Dirk) Newman, Valerie Carter (boyfriend Reino Paananen), Kimberly (Dustin) Hanson, and son Tyrel Peterson; 12 grandchildren: Rebecca, Kylie Peterson, Joshua Nelson, Natalie, Alexander Talbert, Maddison, Noah, Rayden, Nevaeh Hanson, Jack, Claire, Luke Newman; siblings: Greg Wilkemeyer, Ted (Alice) Wilkemeyer, Wally (Julie) Wilkemeyer, Chris (Terry) Howell, Dan (Sheri) Wilkemeyer, Therea (Dale) Baker, Tim (Karen) Wilkemeyer. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Norman and Mike Wilkemeyer, nephews James Peterson, Randy Matejcek, Caleb Wilkemeyer, and niece Lori Matejcek.
