Carol Haubenschild, 83, Rochester

Carol S. Haubenschild, 83, of Rochester passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021.
Carol was born on Sept. 10, 1937 to Lawrence and Eveline (Hopke) Lysne in Austin. She graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1955.
She married Leo Haubenschild on June 1, 1957. Together they had three children: Julie of New Town, N.D., Brian of Grafton, Wis., and Laurie (Guy) Gosselin of Cedarburg, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Carol worked at Dayton’s downtown for several years and went on to work in General Service at Mayo Clinic for 20 years. Carol enjoyed baking, and made the best chocolate chip cookies.
Carol is survived by her husband of 64 years, Leo, and brother, Douglas Lysne of Blooming Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lois Jaffola.
A private family service will be arranged by Macken Funeral Home in Rochester. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
