Charles Leth Dunford, 86, Faribault

Charles Leth Dunford, 86, passed away July 30,  2020, in Faribault. Charles (Chuck) was born to Ross and Irene Dunford on July 4, 1934 at Mayowood in Rochester.                                                             
After graduation from Mantorville High School he served in the U.S.  Army and then attended
the University of Minnesota.
Charles started his business of milk hauling for farmers of southeast Minnesota, later farming north of Mantorville.
Moving to Faribault, he was employed by the Minnesota State Deaf and Blind Academy for more than 20 years until he retired.
During his time at the University he met Eva Marie Tunnell and they married in 1956. They had four children and were later divorced.
One of his favorite pastimes was fishing in northern Minnesota.
He is survived by three children, Deborah (Keith) Spading of Elmendorf, Tex., Victoria (Allen) Leibfried and Brian Dunford, both from Spring Valley; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Ardella Dunford Griebenow, brothers Edward (Sharon) Dunford and Keith Dunford, all from Rochester and a sister, Maria (Robert) Dunford Bonser of Kasson.
Charles spent many years with close friend Jean Bottke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Susan Marie Dunford Anderson, sister­in-law Gloria (Keith) Melder Dunford and brother-in-law Cyril (Ardella) Griebenow.
