Charles Perron, 60, Owatonna
Charles “Chuck” N. Perron, 60, of Owatonna, passed away in the company of loved ones on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home in Owatonna. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Chuck was born July 3, 1961, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to James and Viola (Summer) Perron. He attended Owatonna High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1979. Chuck’s favorite pastime was watching and attending Minnesota Vikings football games. He enjoyed camping and hiking with his family, as well as golfing, hunting, and especially fishing trips to Lake Kabetogama with his friends. Chuck was a forklift operator at United Natural Foods, Inc. in Iowa City, Iowa, where he was a union steward and member for many years. He was known for his quick wit and wry humor; he is missed by many. Chuck is survived by his children Brittany Lerum, Brooke Lerum, Benjamin Lerum; siblings Corey Perron, Tim Perron, Ricky Perron, Krissa Perron, and Dan Perron; nieces and nephews Adam (Kaycee) Perron, Chelsey Perron; great-niece Cheyenne and great-nephew Lucas. The Vangen Family was also an important part of Chuck’s life. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Viola and James Perron and grandparents Henry and Mayme Summer and Marshall and Grace Perron.
