Donna Hindal, 78, Byron

Donna Hindal passed away Friday, May 29. She was born March 3, 1942,  to Howard and Irma Hindal. She attended and graduated from Pine Island High School. She moved with her family from place to place, living in rural Kasson, Pine island, West Concord Dodge Center and finally in assisted living in Byron.
She worked on the farm raising and milking her herd of Registered Jersey cows. She entered them in many shows and county fairs over the years, including Olmstead, Dodge, Steele and Rice, sweeping her class with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place along with many Grand Champion ribbons as well.
She also enjoyed growing and raising Iris flowers. People would visit from all around the region to see the many varieties during June when they were in full bloom.
Donna was preceded in death by her two brothers, Glenn and Dale. She is survived by her three nephews. Mark Hindal – (Elizabeth), of Charlotte, NC, Brian Hindal of Mantorville, MN, Craig Hindal –(Elaine) of Harpenden, England. Service will be held on July 14 at 3 p.m. at the Concord Church of Christ, Concord. A celebration gathering will be held one hour before the service. No lunch or food will be served.
