Edward Olsen, 4 months, Blooming Prairie

Edward James Olsen, age 4 months and 19 days, of Blooming Prairie passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 at his grandma’s house.
He was born Aug. 3, 2020 in Rochester, Minnesota, infant son of Ron Olsen and Rachel Cowan. Edward loved his cuddle time, playing with his frog rattle, toy trumpet, and with his brother and sister.
Edward is survived by his parents, Ron Olsen of Blooming Prairie and Rachel Cowan of Blooming Prairie; brother, Walter Olsen of Blooming Prairie; sister, Zoey Olsen of Blooming Prairie; maternal grandparents, Valarie Cowan and Rex Solomon of Blooming Prairie, David Cowan of Blooming Prairie; paternal grandparents, Ron and Janet Cane of Lincoln, Nebraska; uncle, Jesse (Kaci Dalton) Cowan of Owatonna; aunt, Faith Cowan of Owatonna.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Arlene Tabor; great-grandfather, Roger Walls, maternal great-grandmother, Jane Koontz and maternal great-grandfather, Kenneth Onken.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home Chapel in Blooming Prairie. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 30 people for the service. Visitation will take place for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Masks, social distancing, and all COVID-19 protocol will be enforced.
