Gerald Queen, 90, Faribault
Gerald E. “Jiggs” Queen passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021 in Faribault. Friends greeted the family on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home in Owatonna. Military honors were provided by the Steele County Funeral Unit at the Funeral home. Jiggs was born April 18, 1931 in Mankato to Peter and Bernice (Nenow) Queen. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952-54. On June 22, 1955 he was united in marriage to Rita Marie Traxler in Le Center. He is survived by three sons and their wives and families: Greg and Joan of Owatonna, Cassandra (Marcus) Johnson of Owatonna, Kyle Queen of Kenyon and Krista Queen of Owatonna; Andy and Jeanne of Cleveland, Chad (Tomi) McCabe, Ben McCabe of Cleveland, Adam (Kacy) Queen of Mapleton, Staci Queen of North Mankato, and Joseph Queen of Cleveland, Russell and Kathleen, Jackson and Alix of Lonsdale. Great Grandchildren: Allison, Abbigail, and Addilynn Johnson, Kaleigh, Khloe and Talon McCabe, Wyatt McCabe, Piper, Parker and Paxton Queen and Alexander John (AJ) Bentdahl. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law Ramona Rosemeier and Pat Bell and one brother-in-law Joe Lenz. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Rita, infant son Steven, his parents, one brother Donald, and two sisters Marilyn Filan and Carol Lenz.
