Gilma Jones, 94, Owatonna

Gilma "Gilly" Jones, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Oct. 20, 1926 in Steele County, the daughter of Earl and Laura (Wilkie) Southworth.
She graduated from Medford High School in 1944 as valedictorian of her class.
Gilma was united in marriage to Lyle Jones on Sept. 4, 1945. Lyle and Gilma owned and operated The Moland Store for several years. After closing the store, Gilly was a bank teller for many years.
She enjoyed sewing, especially quilts for her family, playing cards, and watching and going to her grandchildren and great grandchildren's events and activities. 
Gilma is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Moras, and Kathy (Tom) Clements of Owatonna, three grandchildren, Jim (Katie) Moras of Prior Lake, Jennifer Clements of Owatonna, and Brandi Clements of Owatonna, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Gilma is preceded in death by her husband Lyle, four brothers, a sister, and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
