Huskies make Trojans next victim

Total offensive domination.
That pretty much shores up the description of the Owatonna Huskies football team.
Once again Friday night in Owatonna, the Huskies put together a dazzling offensive show as they rolled to their third straight victory of the season by squashing New Prague 56-13. The Trojans fall to 1-2 on the season.
No less than seven players scored touchdowns for the Huskies. Junior Tanner Hall scored two touchdowns on the night. Others racking up points for Owatonna were Matt Williams, Ethan Walter, Brayden Truelson, Carson Dekam, Jerez Autridge and Isaac Gefre. Senior Sam Henson was perfect on the evening kicking seven extra points.
Besides leading the team in scoring, Hall led Owatonna’s offensive explosion with 15 carries totaling 164 rushing yards. The Huskies ended up with a total of 359 yards of rushing during the game.
Owatonna’s passing game piled up 129 yards led by quarterback Truelson with 84 yards.

Defensively, the Huskies had 55 sacks on the evening led by Gefre and Keenan Young with seven each.
Owatonna’s defense has been effective in shutting down the opponents this season as it has held them to just 20 points. The Huskies have outscored their competitors 163-20.
It will be a battle of the unbeaten Friday night when Owatonna travels to Rochester Mayo. Both teams are 3-0 on the year. Mayo Spartans defeated Albert Lea 49-20 last Friday.
