Kent Boxrucker, 62, Owatonna
Kent A. Boxrucker, 62, of Owatonna, died Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home.
He was born March 31, 1959 in Maryland the son of Arthur and H. Irene (Barb) Boxrucker. Kent graduated from Prairie Du Chien High School before attending vocational school in LaCrosse.
He moved to Owatonna where he met and married Mary Grobner on Sept. 14, 1985. He worked as a tool maker for OTC, WSI, EF Johnson, IFP and most recently Daikin. Kent retired early in 2019.
Kent loved Mopar muscle cars and was an avid collector. He enjoyed gardening, making salsa, hunting asparagus, his dog Maxx, and attempting to tell jokes. When his children were young, he enjoyed coaching 4-H softball. Kent loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and spending time with all of them.
He is survived by sons, Matt (and April) Grobner, Brian (and Danielle) Boxrucker; daughter, Andrea (and Kris Ferch) Boxrucker; grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, Dixie, Erik, Kya, Mela, Sofia; siblings, Bruce (and Jeanette) Boxrucker, Gail (and Andy) Howard, Paul (and Lauri) Boxrucker, John (and Jodi) Boxrucker, Monica (and Dan) Schneider, Scott Boxrucker and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Boxrucker; nephew, Kyle Boxrucker.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, May 13 from 4-7 p.m. and at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna on Friday, May 14 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Jacie Richmond officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Michaelson Funeral Homes of Owatonna.
