Rene Erickson, 60, Owatonna

Renè Theresa Erickson (Jensen, Wannamaker) of Owatonna, MN died peacefully at home on March 19, 2021. 
Renè was born Oct. 28, 1960 in Owatonna to Ezra and Louise (Meyer) Erickson. She grew up on a farm in Aurora Township near Claremont and was an active 4-H member. Renè graduated from Claremont High School in 1978 where she enjoyed singing with the school choir and continued her education at Rochester Community College.
Renè enjoyed traveling and lake-life at their cabin in Paynesville, crocheting, computer games, casinos and her volunteer time parking cars at the Steele County Fair. Throughout Renè’s life she was employed by Jostens, OTC, Shopko, Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, Gandy, and Timber Lodge.
Renè is survived by her children Jesseca (Jensen) Stringer of Owatonna and Nathan Jensen of Dodge Center; parents Ezra and Louise (Meyer) Erickson of Owatonna and siblings Doug Erickson of Owatonna, Karen (Greg) Federly of Ely, Anne (Oscar Pendleton Jr.) Hedberg of Sanford, Fla., Chris Roeder of Kasson and Kathy (Mike) Grenier of Rosemount. She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. 
Renè is preceded in death by beloved companion David Cameron, grandparents, an infant brother Stephen Paul, a brother-in-law and a great nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 S Elm Ave., Owatonna, Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.
