She's one of Blooming Prairie's finest

It's a unanimous opinion.
Becky Noble, executive director of the Blooming Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce, is one of Blooming Prairie's finest.
Becky recently announced that she is retiring from a position she has held for the past 20 years. It is said to be a part-time position but Becky has invested countless hours and hours in this task of promoting Blooming Prairie.
Since Judy and I returned to the Blooming Prairie area over six years ago, we have gotten to know this dedicated promoter extremely well.
Becky has been the heart beat of this fine small southern Minnesota community. She has become the community's greatest cheerleader.
Becky is an idea person, meaning that she has her constructive ways of promoting Blooming Prairie. She is also a good listener and always is willing to hear about the ideas of others.
In her role as chamber director, she has implemented ways business and industry can work together for the benefit of as many people as possible.
Becky has that effervescent smile that inspires others. She is a strong family person, growing up in this area and raising her four children here with husband Mark. Some of her children do not live here but they return often.
Becky has worked with many different chamber leaders and instilled a belief in them that the banding together of business and industry will result in the community being a more successful one.
Some of Becky's accomplishments include creation of Business After Hours, golf outing, Fourth of July activities, promotion of the 150th anniversary of Blooming Prairie. She also has been the voice of Blooming Prairie on KRFO on a daily basis. She spends hours putting together her daily radio show.
Becky has not been afraid to try new promotions. She was one of the organizers of the Speakeasy event, which featured residents reliving some of the days before and after prohibition. She dressed up with Sandy Jones and Nancy Vaillancourt to bring people back to that era.
Becky dressed up at other times, too. Once, she became Father Time and nobody guessed that it was her in costume.
The Christmas Holiday Dazzle event was a vision of Becky's.
"I have had a great time being a part of the chamber for 20 years," says Becky. “I was lucky enough to work with many wonderful people over the years who shared the same passion as me, to continue to get the word out what a great community Blooming Prairie is," she continued.
Over the years, Becky helped showcase the terrific schools, businesses, swimming pool, youth club, city parks and the list goes on.
Becky is in love with the Blooming Prairie community and says it has been an honor for her to promote it. She says she is thankful for all the support she has received over the years.
We are all better citizens because of our working relationship and our friendship with one, Becky Noble. She is one of a kind and will be missed dearly.
Becky, let's hope you keep putting your fingerprints on making Blooming Prairie a special place to live. THANK YOU BECKY FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR THIS FINE COMMUNITY.
