SPORTS WRAP

Sevy Enter

What started as a fascination with his sister’s camera led to a business idea for Sevy Enter. The 2023 OHS grad has launched Shoots Studios creative media, expanding his interest in sports photography into social media content for businesses.
“I’m 20 years old and I’ve been on social media since the time I was allowed to have a phone. Over the last four years, I’ve done a lot of research on social media,” he told Owatonna Live.
Enter knew his path while still in high school. “The beginning of my senior year, I knew I wasn’t going to go to school – at least not right away. I was going to go all-in on the photography and videography business. So, I think this is where I envisioned myself being,” he said.
“I’m doing this full-time. With all the sports photography I’m doing, that’s where I find a bunch of joy. I want to get into the business of managing and running social media content for businesses. There’s a huge gap that a lot of businesses face… If you’re a business in 2025 and aren’t on social media, you’re missing out on a lot,” said Enter.
Love of sports
Not everyone can be on the field, but the excitement of sports is contagious. “When you see the athletes have success on the field, you feel like you are a part of it,” said Enter.
He freezes those moments through a lens. “When you’re at the game, you’re just really trying to find the angles that either other people aren’t getting or what’s going to capture the emotion of the game. I never really stay in one spot. I’m always moving around.”
Enter works with fellow Huskies’ grad Keenan Larson and are combining on a documentary on current OHS senior Luke Webber. “That production is going pretty well so far. We’re getting great shots and great interviews. And we’re excited for that to come out,” he said.
“Luke, he’s a pretty nonchalant guy. He’s excited to have the opportunity to share his story. He’s had a lot that’s happened in his life and he’s really good at track,” said Enter.
Webber and Larson were part of the state championship 4x200 relay last year. Webber is committed to Minnesota-Duluth for football.
Enter shot video for documentaries on the Minnesota Vikings and former Chicago Bears great Dick Butkus, in addition to having access at a recent Super Bowl and NFL draft.
“You have to ask the right questions when you’re interviewing people. I haven’t conducted those interviews, but I’ve been there listening, and I’ve learned a lot from that. For documentaries, it’s making the interviewee comfortable to share their story.”
A camping we will go
My wife and I are planning a camping trip with friends this summer on the North Shore. I’ve been tasked with picking the location. Despite growing up in Hibbing and making more trips to Duluth than I can count, I have only gone up the North Shore once.
Here’s where you come in. I would love some input on where to go to. Our initial plan is to stay in a state park, which will be a challenge with limited inventory and high demand.
Gooseberry Falls is the only one of the four final finalists that I have been to. We stopped there last year and were amazed by the waterfalls. The campground seems a bit removed from the falls to allow for at least some isolation.
Those campsites don’t have electricity. That could be a big stumbling block. We might want to run our air conditioner during that August trip. We pull a 16-foot Casita. It’s no house on wheels, but we find it comfortable.
The next option just up the road is Split Rock Lighthouse. The campground is newer. It has electric hook-ups. Investigating the lighthouse sounds fun.
The campground at Tettegouche State Park is further inland from Lake Superior but is more secluded and tree lined. This park offers a view of the Sawtooth Mountains, a rare geographic feature for Minnesota.
Our final option is Cascade River Park, boasting multiple waterfalls and a mile-long trail along Lake Superior.
All the parks have quick access to the Superior National Trail, a must for me. The scenery will be spectacular at each. Any choice is a good one. But which will it be?
