LaVerne Hanson, 61, Forest City, Iowa

LaVerne ‘Vern’ Hanson passed away unexpectedly, Feb. 16, 2025, in Forest City, Iowa.

Friends may greet the family from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna, and one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home.

Vern is survived by wife Lisa, of 42 years; children, Rev. Brandon (Becky), Andrew, Corey (Makala), Daniel (Abby), Patrick (Joy), Chloe (Micah) Peterson, Erik (Abbey), Micah (Julia); 18 grandchildren, with two on the way, mother, Janet; siblings, Annette (Mike) Schneckloth, Priscilla (Craig) Koeckeritz, Matthew (Bridgett) Hanson.

He was preceded in death by father, Byron.
