Linda Berglund, 79, Owatonna

Linda Kay Berglund, age 79, passed away peacefully June 15, 2025.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Church, 1611 Hemlock Ave. NE, Owatonna. Friends may greet the family beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Sandy Lake Cemetery in Carlton, Minn.

Linda was born Feb. 2, 1946, and adopted by Marvin and Inez (Olsen) Johnson. When she was 12 years old, her mother Inez passed away and Marvin married Margaret. Linda attended Marshall High School in Minneapolis.

After graduation, she met Allen Ray Berglund and they were married at First Baptist Church in Minneapolis, on Feb. 25, 1967.

Together Linda and Allen owned and ran a business in Moose Lake, named A & L TV and Appliance. They had four children: Kristine, Todd, Janet and Andrew, and cared for numerous foster children, as well. In 1994, Allen passed away.

In 2001, Linda moved to Owatonna and worked for many years as a paraprofessional in the Medford School District.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends, but most of all she loved to be with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by children: Kristine (David) Johnson, Owatonna, Todd (Cheryl) Berglund, Albert Lea, Janet (Jeff) Schaefer, Maple Lake, and Andrew Berglund, Owatonna; grandchildren Katherine and Ryan Johnson, Thomas and Molly Berglund, Chase, Chelsey and Charlotte Collins, Jack, Ali and Joseph Schaefer; siblings Timothy and Thomas Johnson, and Cindy Bowman.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Allen.

Memorials are preferred to Benedictine Living Community – Owatonna.
