Linda Lou Ingvaldson, 78, Owatonna
Heaven gained an angel on July 29, 2025. Linda Lou Ingvaldson of Owatonna, MN, passed away surrounded by family. She went peacefully after a 7-month battle fighting pancreatic cancer. She was 78 years old. Throughout her journey, she displayed incredible courage and was an example of strength and perseverance, inspiring all of us.
Linda was born February 13, 1947, in Austin, MN, to Harold and Maxine Miller. Linda graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in Blooming Prairie, MN.
Linda met the love of her life, Leroy Floyd Ingvaldson, at the Creamery where both her father and Leroy worked. Her sister Pat introduced them. After six months of dating, they were married on Oct. 28, 1967. They enjoyed dancing at least twice, if not three times a week! They lived a short while at two different houses and then made their home and raised their family in rural Ellendale, MN, on a hobby farm. Linda was a stay-at-home mom for six children and later went to work in retail management.
Linda loved traveling! She and Leroy traveled to 47 of the 50 states. Yellowstone, Alaska and Belize were some of their favorite places. They enjoyed summers at the lakes in Waterville, MN, for the past years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, loved every moment with her only grandchild Tristan, and going on family vacations every year. She also enjoyed playing cards and games weekly with her brother Terry and wife Kathy, in addition to a card club with friends from the old rural Ellendale neighborhood.
Linda will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Leroy Ingvaldson; sons and daughters: Mike (Kari) Ingvaldson, Nancy (Chad) Josephson, Jason Ingvaldson, Lori (Josh) Hossli and Dan Ingvaldson; grandson, Tristan Ingvaldson; brother, Terry (Kathy) Miller; sister, Pat Heikes; cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her son, Brian Ingvaldson; two infant daughters; parents, Harold and Maxine Miller; parents-in-law, Melvin and Alma Ingvaldson; brother, Doug Miller; nephew and nieces: Matt and Joan Heikes, and Dawn Miller.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd, Owatonna) with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Pastor Dave Klawiter will officiate.
