Lisa Hanson, 55, Faribault
Lisa L. Hanson, age 55 of Faribault, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at home.
Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew D. Lane officiating.
Memorial visitation will be at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, June 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Lisa Lynn was born on May 12, 1969, in Owatonna. Lisa lived in Owatonna until 1980. She moved with her family to Denton, Texas where they lived for six years. They returned to Faribault in 1986. Lisa graduated from Faribault High School in 1987 and later obtained her teacher’s certificate.
Lisa worked with children her whole life. First as a day-care provider in her home and later at Peace Lutheran Preschool in Faribault where she taught for 22 years. Over the years, Lisa also worked as an in-home caregiver and part-time in earlier years at JoAnn Fabrics and Roberds Lake Resort.
Lisa married Randy, the love of her life on Sept. 4, 1993. They lived in Faribault, most recently on a small acreage south of Faribault.
Lisa’s passion has always been her family. She and Randy raised three children of whom she was very proud. She was happiest spending time with family, especially her kids and grandchildren. Lisa’s loving, caring spirit was shown whenever anyone was sick, hospitalized, or just needed an extra hand. She was always there to help and care for others whenever needed.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Randy; children, Chelsie (Aaron) Gillen, Brady (Rachel) Hanson and Krystal Hanson, all of Faribault; two grandchildren, Scarlett and Leo Gillen of Faribault; parents, Becky Measner of Owatonna and Wayne and Grace Steele of Owatonna; mother-in-law, Norene Hanson of Faribault; siblings, Christopher Steele of Mankato, Shannon (Lisa) Vick of Owatonna, Sara (Justin) Johnson of Owatonna, Wendy (Darrell) Magruder of Hutchinson, Gary (Colee) Hanson of Faribault; grandfather, Jack Heiserman of Kasson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
