Marlene Carol Klinepier, 79, Mantorville
Marlene Carol Klinepier, 79, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at her home in Mantorville.
Marlene (Moen) Klinepier was born on June 19, 1939, the daughter of Efriam and Ruby (Johnson) Moen in Rochester, MN. Marlene was a life-long resident of
Kasson and Mantorville. She graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School in 1958.
On June 13, 1959, Marlene married Lowell B. Klinepier at South Zumbro Lutheran Church in rural Kasson, of which she was a life-long member.
The couple farmed their entire life together on their farm near Mantorville. Marlene worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester and later for Dr. Affeldt in Kasson. Her real love was farming side by side with Lowell. Whether it was helping in the dairy barn, driving tractor or grain trucks, Marlene was at Lowell’s side.
She loved to camp and travel with Alaska as their highlight. Summers often found them attending antique tractor shows.
Marlene is survived by her nephew, Greg Englund of Mantorville; three sisters, Marcia (Galen) Bungum of Hayfield, Becky (Rick) Senner of Bridgewater, S.D., and Mary Lee Englund of Lewistown, Mont.; sister-in-law, Kathern Ann (Jerry) Bodelson of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; one brother, Allen Moen; her parents, Efriam and Ruby Moen and her grandparents.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 801 7th Street SE, Kasson, and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at South Zumbro Lutheran Church, 4830 120th Ave SW, Kasson. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville.
