Marvin Purrier, Jr. was called home on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, in Medford.
Friends may greet the family from 3–7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at Medford Funeral Home, 310 Central Ave. E., Medford. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 205 2nd Ave. NW, Medford with a short visitation at the Medford Funeral Home from 10-10:50 a.m., followed by a procession to the church. Burial will then follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery in Medford. Casual “Marvin”, Harley, or Kid Rock attire is welcome.
Marvin John Purrier, Jr. was born April 5, 1973, in Faribault, to Marvin J. Purrier, Sr. and KayLynn E. Morgan. He attended Medford Public School through 10th grade and later obtained his GED.
Marvin married Tina Beucler, together they had two beautiful girls, and were later divorced.
He then worked at Viracon in Owatonna, until he switched his career to masonry and flat work. In 2014, he started “Marvin Purrier Concrete & Masonry Construction, LLC” and expanded his business to include residential and industrial snow plowing during the winter months.
On April 22, 2023, Marvin married Robyn Prondzinski, in Laughlin, Nevada surrounded by family and friends.
Marv enjoyed spending his time hunting, which led him to become an active member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever, riding his Harley, going on ATV trips with his wife and friends, traveling to Laughlin, going to concerts (his favorite being Kid Rock), socializing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a huge asset to the community and supported many community organizations including Medford Straight River Days, Medford Public School, Medford Fire Department, and many recreational youth and adult sports teams to name a few of the many.
Marv is survived by his wife, Robyn Purrier, children: Bailey Purrier and Brooke Purrier, both of Faribault, Amanda (Chet) Prondzinski, Owatonna, and Cody (Marie) Prondzinski, Pierz; parents KayLynn (William) Gordon, Owatonna; father-in-law Bob Jones, Medford; grandchildren Noah Bentzen, Cameron Masso, and Colt Prondzinski; siblings Rosie (Michael) Cooley, Owatonna, and LeRoy (Cindy) Purrier, Rochester; Shannon (Valessa) Jones, Brent (Michelle) Jones, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by nephew Justin Schuler, mother-in-law Mavis Jones, and good friends BJ Johnson and Jeff Brown.
Memorials may be directed to the family who will choose a charity to donate to in Marv’s memory.
