Mary Jo Evans, 61, Maple Grove

Mary Jo Evans, age 61, of Maple Grove, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Born June 29, 1964, in Minneapolis, she was the daughter of Irwin “Bud” and Lois (Schroeder) Evans of Waseca.

Mary Jo attended Waseca High School, graduating in 1982. During her time in school, she was involved with OEA (Office Education Association) and worked part time at Waseca Mutual Insurance Company. After graduating, she found a job in Bloomington and stayed in the Metro area. Her current job was with Park Avenue of Wayzata, for the past 24 years.

Friends may greet the family at 11 a.m. at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna, on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025. There will be a celebration of Mary Jo’s life at 11:30 a.m., at which friends and family will have the opportunity to share memories. This will be followed by a luncheon.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her brother, sister, parents, and grandparents.
