Mary Lue Raygor, 81, Owatonna
Mary Lue Raygor, 81, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully on Sept. 6, 2025.
She was born in Owatonna on Aug. 9, 1944, to Edward and Luella (Kading) Holmen.
Mary Lue spent her life in Owatonna, where she built a home filled with love, laughter, and the joy of family and friends.
On Sept. 1, 1962, she married the love of her life, Douglas Raygor, and together they shared 62 wonderful years.
A passionate golfer, Mary Lue was known for her unique—and often talked about—golf swing. She found joy in gardening and sewing and cherished supporting her children and grandchildren at their activities as they grew up. She was especially known for her elaborate Thanksgiving feasts, creating memories around the table that will be treasured for years to come. She also enjoyed the thrill of a little gambling now and then, trying her luck at the casino.
Mary Lue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doug, and by her parents, Edward and Luella.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Holmen, and his wife, Suzanne; her son, Keith Alan, and his wife, Lauren; her daughter, Karla Anne, and her friend, Merle Benes; and her grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, and Mitchel.
Quiet and private by nature, Mary Lue will be remembered for her kindness, quick wit, unwavering strength, her sharp mind, and her remarkable way with numbers.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, 400 Mineral Springs Road, Owatonna.
