NEWS BULLETIN: Police wrap up investigation into Flores crash

​​The Rochester Police Department has completed its investigation of the deadly crash on May 18 involving a State Patrol squad, according to a police department Facebook post. 

According to the post, the case file has been handed over the case file to the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office for their review. 

“Three vehicles, including the State Patrol squad, were involved in the crash at Memorial Parkway SW and 12th St. SW. A total of seven people were inside the vehicles,” the post stated. “ A passenger in one of the vehicles, 18-year-old Olivia Flores, Owatonna, died from her injuries on May 19.” 

In a statement Police Chief  Jim Franklin said  “We want to thank the Flores family and everyone impacted by this tragedy for their patience throughout the extensive investigative process. We offer our ongoing condolences during this difficult time.”

“As we have throughout this investigation, we will continue to work with the county attorney as needed to provide any additional information,” the Facebook post stated.
