Patricia Ann Fischer, 92, of Owatonna, passed away June 7, 2025, at Bridgewater Assisted Living Community in Owatonna.
Patricia was born May 17, 1933, in Geneva, the oldest daughter of Curtis and Margaret Disher. She graduated from Ellendale High School in 1951.
Patricia married her high school sweetheart, Robert Fischer, in 1951, and they enjoyed 64 wonderful years of marriage together.
Patricia is survived by children: Cheryl Fischer, Becky (Bruce) Granowski, Brad Fischer, and Kirk (Molly) Fischer; 12 grandchildren: Jodi, Kate, Angie, Brianna, Cody, Devin, Nick, Andy, Emily, Lydia, Will and Rylee; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sisters Ione Smith and Sandra (Kenneth) Ramacher; and brother William (Jane) Disher.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert; daughter Mary Kay; son Gregory; brothers: Daniel, Edward, and Burton; and her parents Curtis and Margaret Disher.
Patricia’s life was centered around her strong Catholic faith, her love of family and bonds with her many close friends. Through the years, Pat enjoyed participating in many activities with the Women’s Club of Owatonna, the Home Economics Club of Owatonna, Elks Club and various bridge clubs. She enjoyed an active lifestyle, including walking, biking and even bowling. A huge sports fan, she loved supporting her favorite teams, including the Vikings, Twins, Cubs and Braves. She spent countless hours at ballparks, gymnasiums and fields, cheering for her children, grandchildren and many Owatonna Huskies sports teams.
She supported the community by volunteering at St. Joseph Catholic Church, as well as delivering Meals on Wheels and supporting Catholic Youth Education for many years.
Over the last four years of her life, Pat loved her friends and the entire staff at the Bridgewater Assisted Living Community. She always looked forward to going to the dining room to visit with her friends and special table mates, and the staff always kept her black coffee nice and hot in her “P” (for Pat) coffee mug.
A visitation will be held at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 4-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 South Elm Ave., Owatonna on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
