Patricia Winter, 72, Minot, N.D.

Patricia Lynne Winter, 72, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in a Minot Hospital. Pat was born Oct. 14, 1952, to parents Robert and Elaine Weller. She was born and raised in Owatonna. She attended school in Owatonna, graduating in the class of 1971. Pat loved sports. She played golf. She was an avid Twins and Vikings fan. She's still waiting for the Vikings to win the Super Bowl. Pat was an excellent cook. She learned how to bake and decorate cakes. The cakes were beautiful and tasted great. Pat loved children. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a volunteer for the special Olympics. She worked as a teacher’s aide for Lynch Immanuel Lutheran Church. When I first met Pat she was living in a foster home. The Peterson family provided her with a friendly and loving home. Pat and I (John Winter) were married on June 26, 1971. We have one child, a daughter named Kimberley Jane Winter. Pat's loving family includes our daughter Kimberley, sisters Susan Mahlman and Sandi Dallman, brother Michael Weller and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Elaine Weller, and her stepfather Jack Gillard. Pat told me that she did not want a funeral service. She has been cremated.
