Ralph Eldon Bos died Aug. 28, 2024.

He was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Hull, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Anna (De Vries) Bos. His name was written in the Lamb's Book of Life through the Waters of Holy Baptism on Jan. 25, 1935.

He attended and graduated from Hull Public High School in 1952. He enrolled at South Dakota State University. On March 4, 1954, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged October 31, 1957. He returned to college and graduated in June 1960 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

He was united in holy marriage to Loretta Fletchall on April 9, 1961, at Lake Madison Lutheran Church in Madison, S.D., and was blessed with 63 years of married life together.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where he served as an usher, one term on the Board of Church Properties, approximately 20 years on the Board of Lay Ministry, and occasionally taught the adult bible class.

He is survived by his wife Loretta, sister Beth Kehrberg, daughter Juanita (Rick) Voigt, son Russell Bos, son Keith (Lisa) Bos, granddaughter Erinn (Drew) Johnson, granddaughter Paige (Pat) Tracy, great-grandson Pepin Tracy, and granddaughter Emily Bos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harlan, son Harlan, and brother-in-law Norman Kehrberg.

Memorial service with be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1054 Truman Ave., Owatonna with Pastor Harold Storm presiding. Friends may greet the family starting at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

His physical remains will be interred at Fort Selling National Cemetery.
