Mother’s Day in BP includes procedure prep

That was one of the weirdest Mother’s Days at the Lestrud house in Blooming Prairie.

Judy prepared an excellent Mother’s Day meal by herself. With help from her brother,

Craig, a master griller, Judy turned in her usual top-notch dinner.

Here I sat watching my wife, Judy, her brother, Craig, and my sister-in-law, Karen, devour three huge T-bone steaks. I was sipping water from a tall glass and getting ready to begin preparation for a colonoscopy and endoscopy.

I have had both before, and it is no picnic.

Judy and I also had been invited to a family gathering just two blocks away. We passed on attending this fun gathering.

My prep time was the toughest part of the whole production. Judy helped take count of the glasses consumed.

“How many was that?” I would ask of Judy and her sister Cindy. “Two left?”

The most fun part of the day with these procedures was waking up from the anesthesia. It will be interesting to listen to the audio tapes. Just kidding!

Now, I can eat green bananas. I survived another part of becoming old.

I actually went through the procedures and came out as a new person. Excuse me, somebody is knocking at the door.
