Roger Elmer Erickson, 90, formerly of BP

Roger Elmer Erickson, age 90, of Minnetonka and formerly of Blooming Prairie, passed away peacefully on Oct. 13, 2019.
Roger was born In Blooming Prairie to Elmer and Elsie (Popken).
He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Elsie, his infant son James, his beloved wife Peggy, and his oldest son Roger Edward.
Roger is survived by his sisters Jean Schimmele, Dee Strand, and Carol Benson, his son David, his grandchildren Brooke, Katie, Alex, Brian, and Brandon, and by his great-grandchildren Nora, Lily, Violet, Owen, and Remington.
Roger was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was a quiet man of deep strength and compassion, he loved his family, served his country, showed kindness to all, and had malice toward none.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Huber Funeral Home, Excelsior Chapel, 520 2nd St., Excelsior, MN, 55331, on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. with luncheon to follow.
