Second baby of 2025 is Steele County’s first

It didn’t take long for Steele County’s newest resident to make his appearance.

Bryson Gutierrez was born at 2:40 p.m. Jan. 1 at Owatonna Hospital, weighing in at 8 lbs., 8 oz.

Bryson is the first child for Aurora Gutierrez, of Owatonna. Both mom and baby are healthy and headed home the next day.

He was actually the second baby born at Owatonna Hospital in 2025; the first baby’s family is not from Steele County.
