Shane Wutschke, 50, Owatonna
Shane Lamar Wutschke, 50, of Owatonna, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at his home.
He was born Feb. 17, 1975, in Owatonna, to LaMar and Janet (Verplank) Wutschke. Shane graduated from Medford High School in 1994. Shane worked for his grandpa JC at his painting company, Verco Painting, and eventually took over the business and renamed it to Wutschke Construction and Painting.
Shane was known to have the perfect hardworking work ethic and was always teaching himself to learn new things. He loved to meet up and talk with his friends. Shane was an avid fisherman and hunter. He would fish Lake Vermillion and other lakes near Canada. He would also go on ice fishing trips with his friends.
He is survived by father, LaMar Wutschke of Owatonna, mother, Janet Wutschke of Owatonna; sisters, DeAnn Dittrich of Owatonna, DaNae (and Tim) Stenzel of Owatonna, Sarah (and Cam) Bettin of Owatonna; nieces and nephews, Maria (and Logan Hutchinson) Dittrich, Liliana Dittrich, Sammi (and John Baron) Stenzel, Kody Stenzel, Alix (and Peter Leach) Bettin, Rylie Bettin, and Mason Bettin. Other important people, Trisha Chell, and her children Tori Cinnamon and Baily Chell. Shane also had many special friends including Bailey Loquai.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, JC and Barb Verplank; and Marvin and Dorothy Wutschke.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
