Terrie Rud, 55, Hayfield

Terrie Rud, 55, of Hayfield, passed away on Dec. 1, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.
Terrie was born on Oct. 14, 1963, the daughter of David and Gloria (Duran) Sotelo in Lancaster, Calif. She graduated from high school in Palmdale, Calif.
She married Gary Root. They had three children and were later divorced. On Aug. 22, 2011, Terrie married Ronald Rud in Pine City. She worked as a waitress at the Hubbell House for 11 years, The Oaks, and Uncle Mony’s Bowling Alley. Terrie loved cooking and always had food out for the family, spending time with friends, gambling, and having fun rooting for the opposing team of the Minnesota Vikings.

Terrie is survived by her husband, Ron Rud, Hayfield; children, Chris (Britney Edge) Root, Austin; Ryan Root, Riceville, Iowa; and Nicole (Bryce) Stephens of Hayfield; step-children, Nate (Tricia) Rud, Mantorville, Amanda (Brandon) Vermilyea, Dodge Center; Sam (Emily) Rud, Savage; Bailey Rud, Rochester,; grandchildren, Lacey Root, Parker and Jameson Root, Peyton and Preston Stephens, Tyson and Sawyer Rud, Cami, Cooper, Casey and Colby Vermilyea, and Charlie Rud; mother, Gloria (Glen)

Stothers, Lancaster, Calif.; father, David Sotelo, Ontario, Calif.; brothers, David Sotelo, Palmdale, Calif.and Peter (Deena) Sotelo, Harland, Ia.
She was preceded in death by her step- mother, Bonnie Sotelo and sister, Delores Sotelo.
Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the funeral home. The memorial service will be 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Hauschild officiating.
