Arvid Michael Hanson, 77, Ham Lake

Arvid Michael “Mike” Hanson, 77, of Ham Lake, Minn., passed away on Feb. 26, 2023.

Mike attended a one room school in rural Owatonna and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1963. He moved to the Twin Cities and that remained his home. He retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone at age 55. All his leisure time was spent at a cabin on Lake Vermillion.

He loved to fish, cook, grill, woodworking projects, electronics, fixer of all things and paint. He loved Corvettes and fast cars!

Mike is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cheri; sister, Dyann (Ernie) Reinhard of Medford; brothers, Jim Saufferer of Owatonna, John (Brenda) Saufferer of New Richland and many nieces and nephews, friends and special K-9, Diesel.

Preceded in his passing by parents, Arvid and Dorothy; sister, Charlotte; brothers, Jerry and Jeff and other family members.

Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church of the Lakes in Lino Lakes on Saturday, April 22, 2023. A gathering will take place at the church at 9:30 a.m. and services to follow at 10:30 a.m.
