Betty Engelenburg, 62, Owatonna

Betty Jean Van Engelenburg, 62, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Friends may greet the family from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna.

Betty was born in Owatonna on July 9, 1963, to James and Diane Drache.

She married Terry Van Engelenburg on Aug. 10, 1985, at St. John Church. They had four children: Hunter, Dani, Trapper and Tanner.

Betty enjoyed grilling brats in the summer, and cracking jokes with friends and family. She loved being outside, fishing, tanning and playing catch with the grandkids. She enjoyed her Packer/Viking rivalry with her husband.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Terry Van Engelenburg; four children: Hunter (Maria) Van Engelenburg, Dani (Tony) Shinabarger, Trapper Van Engelenburg, and Tanner Van Engelenburg; five grandsons: Gulyan, Alicio, Adrian, Cade, and Tyson; and one brother, Jamie Drache.
