Bill Qualle, 69, Red Wing

Bill Qualle, 69, Red Wing, obituary

Bill Qualle, age 69, of Red Wing, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 24, 1956, Bill lived a life marked by strength, humor, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the people he held close.

Bill was known for his easy smile, his steady presence, and the way he made others feel welcome simply by being himself. He enjoyed good company, meaningful conversations, and the simple moments that make a life rich. To those who knew him, he was a source of support, laughter, and genuine connection — the kind of person whose absence is felt as deeply as his presence once was.

Bill is survived by his children, Charity (Darren) Hento of Yankton, SD; Nathan (Liz) Qualle of Owatonna, MN; and Tyler (Sasha) Qualle of Owatonna, MN. He was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and a delighted great‑grandfather to 7 great‑grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings: Tim (Nora) Lee of Shoreview, MN; Dale (Tammy) Lee of Lake City, MN; Shari (Dan) Francisco of Mountain View, Arkansas; and Barb Mamer (Don Martens) of Red Wing, MN. Bill leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends who were considered family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Gilmore Lee and Mona Qualle, and ex-wife Angie Qualle.

Bill will be forever loved and forever remembered.
