Billie Moser, 76, Blooming Prairie
Billie Joy (Cowan) Moser passed away at her home in rural Blooming Prairie, on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at the age of 76.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at First Lutheran Church, Blooming Prairie. Friends may greet the family at 9 a.m. on Dec. 30 at the church.
Billie was born to William Edward Cowan and Arlene Grace (Bly) Cowan on July 14, 1947, in Austin. She was raised in Austin and graduated with the Austin High School Class of 1965.
On Oct. 15, 1966, she was united in marriage to Harold M. Moser in Blooming Prairie, and they made their home outside of town.
Billie was a member of First Lutheran Church of Blooming Prairie. She was a Sunday School teacher for almost 20 years at United Methodist Lutheran Church. Billie had once worked at Land O' Lakes and also did babysitting. She collected and loved smiley faces and music boxes. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, flower gardening, poetry, art, music, crafts, and most of all God and her family.
Billie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold; daughters Renee (Ron) Lomax of Pittsburg, Kansas, Kimberly Thorson of Lake Mills, Iowa; sons David Moser of Minneapolis, Jeremiah (Krisi) Moser of Elk River; and grandson Isaiah Moser of Austin; seven grandchildren: Amanda Todhunter, Ethan Moser, Kirsten (Aaron) Vierling, Emmanuel (Brooke) Graves, Colton Neslund, FeDor Lomax and Tremaine (Eve) Thorson; three great-grandsons: Anthony Moser, Carson Moser, and Andreas Graves; two great-granddaughters Bailey Moser and Ellianna Graves; two sisters Debbie (Dennis) Knutson of Austin, and Peggy (Robert Jr.) Olson of Blooming Prairie; two brothers David Cowan of Blooming Prairie and Dale Cowan of Austin; brothers-in-law Rex Buss of California and Dave Hartwig of Bloomington; along with many step-brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; stepfather; son Michael; sisters Carol Ann Buss and Ella Mae (Kookie) Hartwig; granddaughter Matayea Lomax; step-brothers and step-sisters.
