Bonnie Nguyen, 68, Owatonna

Bonnie Nguyen, 68, Owatonna, obituary

Bonnie Lee Nguyen, of Owatonna, died Friday, May 5, at her home. She was 68.

Bonnie was born April 6, 1955, in Rochester, the daughter of Phyllis Mlynczak. After graduating from high school in 1973, Bonnie joined the working world.

During the course of her life, she held administrative jobs; through those, she made many friends. Bonnie was most recently employed at Life Style, Inc. in Owatonna.

Bonnie was a woman who wore many hats, but her most cherished role was that of mom and grandma. Her children and grandchildren meant more to her than anything.

She loved animals of all kinds, but especially cats, dogs, and horses. She fostered and adopted many strays and homeless critters, and provided them a good life.

Bonnie is survived by her five children: Courtney (and Angela Lee) Nguyen, of Oakdale; Erynne Reyes, of Ellendale; Lincoln (and Katie Kronebusch) Nguyen, of Eden Prairie; Kelly (and Bryan) Stanley, of Oakdale; and Morgan Nguyen, of Minneapolis.

She is also survived by her four grandsons: Emory, Cruz, Callahan, Carsyn, and another grandson due in July.

She was preceded in death by her mother and six brothers.

Friends may greet the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna.

A celebration of her life will follow at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Steele County Humane Society.
