BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: BCA issues crime alert in Dodge County homicide

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has released a Minnesota Crime Alert in a weekend homicide outside of Blooming Prairie.
In what is the first substantial details released in the incident, the alert notes that the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the BCA are investigating the death of a man found Friday at his house southeast of Blooming Prairie.
The BCA says the death is considered suspicious.
The BCA issued the crime alert to law enforcement agencies statewide attempting to locate a person of interest who may have information regarding the investigation. The BCA is looking for Lois Ann Riess, 56, a white woman 5’5”, 165 pounds, brown eyes and blonde hair. Riess’ hair is lighter than the photo attached with this story.
Riess may be driving a 2005 Cadillac Escalade, white, with Minnesota license plate 864 LAE. The photo shown here is not the actual vehicle, but a file photo of the listed make and model.
