BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Complaint reveals date of murder

Court documents filed against Lois Riess for allegedly stealing money from her husband’s bank accounts indicates that David Riess likely died on Wednesday, March 21, two days before his body was found at their home outside of Blooming Prairie.
In the complaint filed on Tuesday in Dodge County District Court, Investigator Bohle of Dodge County said he “believed the death occurred sometime on March 21, 2018.”
Police found David Riess at about 7:40 p.m. Friday after being called to the residence to do a welfare check on him. He had been shot multiple times, police said.
Authorities are still searching for Lois Riess, who has been identified as a suspect in the homicide.
