BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Sheriff releases new video of Lois Riess

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has released a surveillance video obtained by investigators from the Kum and Go gas station in Northwood, Iowa in hopes of triggering leads to Lois Riess’ whereabouts.
The video shows Lois Riess approach the cashier, purchase a sandwich and ask for directions south out of state. The Kum and Go is located next to Diamond Jo’s Casino in Northwood. The video was taken from March 23 at about 6:30 p.m.

Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose said investigators believe that on March 23 Riess drove to a bank in Glenville and cashed over $10,000 in stolen and forged checks from her dead husband’s personal and business accounts. She later spent most of the day gambling at Diamond Jo’s before stopping at the gas station, Rose said.
According to Rose, this is the only video investigators have located to date with audio of Riess speaking. Investigators hope that her voice on the video, in addition to other videos and images released to the media will help someone recognize her and report her whereabouts immediately so “she can be taken into custody before anyone else gets hurt or killed,” Rose said. 
As he has described throughout the investigation, Rose says Riess should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees her should call 911 right away.
