Caleb Robert Nystuen, 28, Kenyon

Caleb Robert Nystuen, 28, of Kenyon, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017 of complication of diabetes and the flu.
He was born Aug. 17, 1988 in Rochester, the son of Brian and Jane (Callister) Nystuen.  He lived in Dodge Center until age four when he moved with his family to the family farm in Holden Township near Kenyon.  Caleb was homeschooled and enjoyed competing in sporting events.  He continued his education at the Community College in Faribault.  
Caleb enjoyed any job where he could work with his hands.  He was currently employed at Americold in Zumbrota.  He loved the outdoors, including deer hunting and caring for animals on the farm.  He greatly enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He was devoted and loyal to his family and especially protective of his mother.  If he saw a task that needed to be completed he would just do it without being asked.
He is survived by his parents, Brian and Jane of Kenyon; siblings: Calli (Steven) Walstad of Buffalo and their children, Avery, Caden, and Elijah; Joshua Nystuen of Kenyon and his children, Grace, Seth and Evelyn; Brianna (James) Jarvis of Wanamingo and their children, Logan, Landon and Layla; Jacob Nystuen of Kenyon and Benjamin Nystuen of Kenyon; uncles, David (Linda) Nystuen of Stewartville and Richard (Kristine) Nystuen of Kenyon; aunt, Sharon (Bob) Lowe of Florida and many cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maurice and Evelyn Nystuen and Franklin and Beulah Callister and an uncle, Robert Nystuen.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17th and 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18th, all at New Life Church in Wanamingo.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18th at New Life Church in Wanamingo with Rev. Pat McBride officiating.  Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery.
